The Development Pool Sarah jointly runs a monthly support network for those
working in development, known as The Development Pool. The aim of
the group is to provide a forum for developers to share
their experiences of the craft, make contacts and aid each
other’s progress. Providing an ongoing foundation
of positive links for its members. (This is also with a
longer term aim to help raise the status and level of investment
in development in the Features Script Surgery currently has two strong feature ideas in
the early stages of development. We are potentially interested in further feature collaboration
with established/experienced writers, or where an exciting, existing property or story can be
optioned/is optioned. Script Call - Shorts We are also currently seeking an outstanding
short film script to put into production – with a view to producing an award winning
show case for the talents of all involved. Outlines of ideas, no more than a page can be sent to smo@scriptsurgery.co.uk
for consideration, along with a writer biog/CV. If there
is interest a script will be requested and there is the
potential for further development of material where the
idea or basic script is considered strong. Unfortunately
feedback will not be available on outlines that are rejected.
Outlines should strive to include: the intended genre/tone,
time and place, description of the protagonist and their
perspective, what they must overcome or achieve in the story,
what stands in their way, the outcome and the meaning the
audience can take from the story in the end. (NB – We are seeking only scripts
